CIEH Level 3 Award in PTLLS Conversion Course
'Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector'


This two day conversion programme is now available for those already holding a Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH): Professional Trainers Certificate (PTC) or Training Skills in Practice (TSP) Level 3 Award who would like to upgrade their training qualifications to the PTLLS in order to comply with the new standards or to develop their career. Candidates completing the conversion course who successfully pass two written assignments will achieve a PTLLS award.

Course content

Understand your own role, responsibilities and boundaries of role in relation to teaching Training needs and objectives
Understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches within a specialist area Learning styles and preferences
Demonstrate your session planning skills – plan, deliver, observe and evaluate a micro-teaching session Training skills
Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions that motivate learners Course structure and design
Understand the use of different assessment methods Training styles and communication
Understand and analyse the need for accurate record keeping and procedures that can be adopted Assessment


Audience:
Those already holding a TSP/PTC certificate wishing to upgrade to the Level 3 PTLLS

Two Days

Assessment method:
Assignments/observed presentation.

Awarding organisation The awarding body for this course is the Chartered Institute for Environmental Health

Outcome Successful candidates will be able to structure, design and deliver interesting and stimulating training sessions and deliver training in the adult education sector.
